CB1100 - 2-01

When it comes to building a bike, an open brief is always a good brief. It’s nice to know someone puts their faith into the fact you will get it right. This is exactly what happened with the latest build by us. Starting with a 2013 Honda CB1100F with only 3500 km on the odometer, the whole bike has been stripped back and reworked, giving a fresh new look to this bulletproof thumper.  Utilizing the superfour cylinder engine for the build, we decided the fresh engine needed no work, and to focus on improving the aesthetics of the look. The first aspect that needed to be touched up was the stance. Yup…the stance, looking a new model with a different look than the original, Scrambler style.

Started with a drawing design, the layout for the bike was adjusted accordingly. The concept was not difficult to draw and our ideas and the owner were the same, bike must look dashing, aggressive and without any kind of plastic. Based on previous experience, we only need to re-changed the model from a sub frame. The front end and swing arm plus back suspension still using an original including the rims. Only changed tires using Shinko E705 120/80-18 for front and 150/70-18 for the back. The original body was swapped with a handmade unit crafted from 1.2 mm galvanized plate, along fitted in original CB1100F main frame. The genuine headlight and aftermarket taillight on this bike are joined by fatbar handlebar, custom exhaust system and topped off with a metallic grey based combined with classic silver by Komet Studio, highlighted with silver stripped, using Sikkens product. Finally, with the build finished, there is only one thing left to do, and it is best summed up by our self. Nothing the best, it’s just a simply stunning from us, but really, It’s satisfied!!
