It’s a truism of sorts, but in many ways customizing bikes is as much about what you remove and where you cut the bike as it is about what you add. Many builds that are hailed as ‘miraculous transformations’ turn out to be mostly about the builder’s skill in seeing past all the external frippery and into the core beauty of the bike’s design. As Michelangelo famously put it, ‘I simply saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.’ And if ever there was a bike the personified that approach it would have to be this, the latest build from us, Studio Motor, Jakarta – Indonesia. Built from brand new Kawasaki Z250, This Flat Tracker is the work of us after finished the design sketch and approved by the owner. rebuild it in the style of modern flattrack.
The bikes hand formed custom tank and rear cowl are made from 1.2 mm galvanized plate and the beautifully finished seat was covered in house. The classic white paint combined with metallic grey and black stripes and Kawasaki logo were done by Komet Studio in Jakarta, who finished the bodywork using sikkens base coat and varnish, giving it a “permanent wet look effect” (that’s a first!). A set of Enkei rims 17X3.00 inch and 17X4.50 inch were fit with Zeneos Turino 120/70-17 & 160/60-17for front and rear. We underwent some aesthetic customization to match the style of the rest of the build. For front forks we choose from upside down ex. Suzuki GSXR-750 included Tokico master cylinder and caliper for brake system, that instantly transform the bikes handling, safety and appearance. A set of fatbar handlebars and a number plate custom headlight sits between them, mounted on the lower triple tree. Upgrades to the Z250 performance come in from 2 in 1 custom stainless steel exhaust system.
To look at the bike now it’s hard to believe that it’s Kawasaki Z250. We states that modify this bike with the purpose of earning our customers satisfaction and pride. I think we can safely assume we have done that with this build. So….Please welcome “OUTBURST”.
