When someone mentions the words “Kawasaki” and “Versys” in the same sentence, for sure you’d be excused your mind was filled with images of adventure bike with spotlight lamp, windshield and side box. In here you never find it because we always totally agree that custom motorcycle come out to be a lifestyle now, chances are if you’re into custom motorcycles and have a deep love for bikes, then you spend more money on them than most people consider reasonable.  Call it crazy, but this is our culture and once the need for something different is in your veins, digs its hooks in deep, you’re addicted. For example with one of our customer, He grabbed his dream by the horns and asked us to change his bike totally. The result is a 2017 Kawasaki Versys 250 Scrambler and now the owner has a spare time thanks to his newfound riding obsession.

We worked with the bikes owner to design a scrambler based on the Kawasaki Versys 250 mixing retro styling with modern engineering. Under the direction of the bikes owner the suspension was to remain untouched, but the rest of it’s appearance was open to our interpretation. The 41 mm telescopic front end and modern alloy swing arm didn’t quite have the retro look suited to a classic Scrambler, but the rest of the bike showed potential. The first step was the removal of the factory plastics, bodywork and not so cool. To replace the original bodywork we made a new tank, side cover, front and rear fender out of 1.2 mm galvanized plate. Its unique shape was designed to hug the flowing lines of the stock main frame perfectly. Finished in solid, candy red orange with silver lines at the top it’s more suited to the bike than the factory tank. The only modification to the frame came in the form of a new tail. The loop includes a passenger grab rail which supports a Scrambler style tuck and roll seat, which was also designed and built in house at the Studio Motor workshop. For a more retro look the stock exhaust was replaced with a custom 2 in 1 stainless steel header and underslung, vintage style reverse megaphone muffler. This coolest custom exhaust made by our partner, SM Design. The original rims were removed and changed with TK Japan 18X3.00 inch and 17X5.o0 inch then treated to a set of Shinko Big Block E804/805 120/80-18 & 150/70-17 and the stock bars replaced by B-Rocks Fatbar handlebar. A 5.75 inch DRL headlight and LED taillight combo were then all that was left to complete our new latest built.

We states that modify this bike with the purpose of earning our customers satisfaction and pride. We can safely assume, we have done that with this build. So….please welcome “THE SURGE”.
