THE THUMPER – ROYAL ENFIELD CLASSIC 350 ’18

Royal Enfield motorcycles make a great platform for building custom bikes. Old school Brit styling, reliable single cylinder engines and factory spoke wheels. This is exactly what we have done with our build.Putting our skills to work on a 2018 Royal Enfield Classic 350 and producing something far removed from your everyday Enfield. With a build brief calling for “a new day thumper”, we decided the idea has been done alot, and needs some special touches in order to stand out.

Stripping the mid sized thumper back to basics, the clunky factory fenders were replaced with shorter ones, and the sub frame was replaced with a new one that we’ve made, shaved of all superfluous bracketry. The loop includes a passenger grab rail which supports a Scrambler style tuck and roll seat, which was also designed and built in house at the Studio Motor workshop.

For a more retro look the stock exhaust was replaced with a custom exhaust stainless steel header and underslung, vintage style reverse megaphone muffler. This coolest custom exhaust made by our partner, SM Design. The original rims were removed and changed with TK Japan 18X2.50 inch and 18X3.50 inch then treated to a set of Shinko Big Block E804/805 120/90-18 & 150/70-18 and the rear shock replaced with 360 mm Ohlins Progressive. A 7 inch DRL headlight and LED taillight combo were then all that was left to complete our new latest built.

With a little touch of the metal work coming from us, this Royal Enfield is definitely a fun looking ride. We’ll leave the last word ” We wanted to build something you’d imagine riding across the city or for long journey and also something you could take out for your happiness without a second thought.” We’ll take that.
